In the News: 2015

In January 2015, Pre-K Our Way announced the start of its three-year effort to raise awareness of preschool and its importance, and of the need to build public and political support for pre-k funding. Support grew to include two former governors – Tom Kean and Jim Florio, numerous advocate groups, educators, business people and community leaders – along with families, parents and the general public.

Through three regional forums, Pre-K Our Way encouraged discussion, provided education and developed advocacy interest to raise the priority of pre-k throughout New Jersey. As the year ended, a legislative education committee hearing focused on the importance of early childhood education – and especially pre-k, and a statement from legislative leadership supported pre-k expansion.

In 2015, Pre-K Our Way announced the start of its three-year effort to raise awareness of preschool and its importance, and ended the year with a statement of support for pre-k expansion by State Senate and Assembly legislative leadership.
