How To Take Action
Because of what we’ve done together, pre-k expansion is a priority in NJ!
NJ’s state-funded, full-day pre-k has become available to more of our state’s 3- and 4-year olds – and in more communities. Thanks to your work and support, a few thousand additional children have access to state-funded pre-k this fall! However, there’s much more to do: tens of thousands of kids across hundreds of communities remain waiting for what was promised by law in 2008.
Both the governor and NJ’s legislative leadership are committed to pre-k expansion. And remember: Governor Murphy has been clear about his support for full expansion (and universal pre-k) within four-years as stated in his March 2018 Budget Address. Pre-K Our Way remains committed to keeping pre-k expansion as a statewide priority – and to securing significantly more funding for pre-k expansion in next year’s state budget. What can you do? Check out each box below for the many ways you can take action. Also: let your school district officials know that you want pre-k expansion in your community!
